Leisure Farm

Leisure Farm is the most expensive of the new gated and guarded housing communities in Nusajaya, part of Malaysia’s Iskandar economic zone. These new housing estates are clustered near the 2nd link to Singapore to the west of Johor Bahru city. Other housing estates in the area, that are popular with expats are: Horizon Hills, East Ladang, Bukit Indah and Ledang Heights. Leisure Farm technically isn’t part of Nusajaya but it part of that whole area of Johor.

People report being able to commute to Singapore CBD in 45 minutes from Leisure Farm. That surprises me a bit but it the closest housing estate to the 2nd Link.

Prices of homes in Leisure Farm range from about RM 800,000 to well over RM 5,000,000. Small semi-detached houses with about 1,800 square feet are available under RM 1,000,000. Land lots alone (without house) are going for over RM 1,000,000 (for over 15,000 square feet). Bungalows with about 15000 square feet of land and built-up housing of 6,000 square feet can be RM 2,500.000 and up.

Rent from RM 4,000/m to over RM 15,000/month (and up). RM 4,000 – RM 6,000/month will get about 1,500 square feet semi-detached/link houses (townhouses). Bungalows will likely run over RM 10,000 a month.

There is basically no shopping right near the estate, but a 15 minute drive gets you to places to eat and shop.
